Web Applications

Web applications are differentiated from corporate web sites by the inclusion of line-of-business transactional activity.  Think of a web application as a web site that you log onto to get something done.  We have been creating large scale transactional web applications for over 10 years, and regularly work on systems supporting thousands of concurrent users and millons of important documents.

Building a web application requires a different approach to a corporate web site.  Customers trust the web application to deliver a service and expect their information to be secure and always available.  The need for security and reliability is increased, especially when eCommerce is involved.  The user interface becomes more important when a web site becomes a place to work, rather than a place to visit.

Web applications are almost always supported by a SQL relational database.  We use advanced code generation techniques to power an agile development methodology.  We understand the issues raised by high load and any requirement to pass external system audit.
