CDP4D lets agents and sales reps deliver targeted web content to customers directly from their Dynamics 365 record. CDP4S monitors the status of prospects as they traverse the sales process and instructs Sitecore CDP to personalize the website accordingly. Acknowledging prior communications with website visitors and providing contextual content creates a better experience and deepens engagement.
The behavior of CDP4D is controlled by the CDP4D Mapping table in Dynamics (see image below). This can be quickly configured in Power Apps. Setting the Mapping Type value determines the transaction direction of field values and other criteria:
After configuring the CDP4D mappings in Dynamics 365, personalization becomes automated. When an agent or rep changes a value in a Dynamics 365 lead record (or contact), CDP4D pushes the new value to Sitecore CDP. When the website logic requests a personalization decision from Sitecore CDP, the new value is used by Sitecore CDP to determine the personalization decision.
