S4S supports pushing Sitecore web form field values to Salesforce. The S4S Form Mapping Wizard can map a form to any Salesforce object, typically a lead or a contact. By checking a checkbox the visitor's website behavior can also be made available to the sales team.
This wizard maps Sitecore web forms to Salesforce objects typically leads or contacts. The associated Sitecore browsing data can also be pushed to Salesforce so sales reps have a better picture of the visitor and essential intelligence to help them prepare the initial interaction.
If new information is discovered, sales reps can edit the Salesforce record and push the changes to Sitecore so the returning visitor is given a specific experience on the website.

The S4S Form Mapping Wizard uses a form Save Action. The behavior of the action is determined by the settings made in the mapping wizard. To extend the functionality, custom Save Actions can be created or the Save Action code can be embedded in a custom form.
Web forms can be used to request a username and password from the visitor. The credentials are saved in Salesforce. Visitors can log in to the portal pages using the username and password. In this situation, Salesforce is the single source of truth and the credentials are never saved in Sitecore.
Sitecore Analytics in Salesforce
Sitecore takes personalized browsing or "experience" to new levels by capturing the browsing data in its xDB database. As the information is updated, it is profiled to determine the characteristics of the visitor. The web content is then automatically adjusted to match the evolving profile.
S4S makes this intelligence available in Salesforce leads and contacts. Armed with this data sales reps get a greater understanding of each visitor by their website behavior. They can then approach and interact with visitors and customers with far more knowledge. Because key data is persisted in Salesforce it is easy to identify hot prospects with high levels of engagement.
Further, if a sales rep learns new information and updates Salesforce, S4S updates Sitecore so the individual gets a new browsing experience.
